We are delighted to announce that we are now offering our solid oak painted furniture range in 132 colours. The Balasani option is already available in light oak and 6 fashionable muted colours: Plum Grey, Moonlight Blue, Palomba Grey, Latte Stone, Artichoke Green and Timid Teal. The 700mm and 920mm Empire and Victorian 635mm Vanity cabinets will now also be available in painted options.
Customers can choose from 132 colours offered by a well known brand of quality heritage paints. Unpainted cabinets are held in stock and can be painted up in a chosen colour in 2 weeks. Customers should call 01782 717175 and request a price and further information about the colour range on offer. There is a small premium for this service to cover logistics but it should not deter anyone who is comfortable with the pricing of the existing options in the range.
There are always customers who want to go the extra mile when choosing their furniture options and the colours for their bathroom. We know how irritating it can be when your shade of cream or blue is just slightly out. Painted furniture in the Shaker style is very popular at the moment and for a little extra trouble we can increase a customer’s choice significantly and help them achieve the look to which they aspire. We already supply cast iron baths in a primed finish to allow customers to paint them the colour of their choice so offering a facility to make bath and cabinets match was the obvious next step.
There has been so much emphasis in recent years on basins as an aesthetic piece, almost an item of sculpture perched on a countertop, that it’s easy to forget their practical side. But has minimalism gone too far? In fact, a basin can also be seen as a sort of ablution work station or a dashboard hosting the means of water control (tap, waste, overflow) and storage for soaps and sponges. The Victorians were great engineers and eminently practical as regards matters of the built world. Silverdale’s Victorian basin exemplifies this spirit with its generous proportions, soap recesses and tall splashback keeping water and accessories in their place and minimising cleaning by protecting the wall.
When twinned with a stand or a piece of furniture, your work station receives an upgrade. Even with a large basin, a heated stand can paradoxically provide a space-saving option, combining as it does, the functions of a radiator and a towel rail all within a footprint of less than a square metre. Silverdale offers heated and unheated stands for both of its 635mm and its 530mm Victorian basins. Solid oak cabinets are available for the Victorian 635 basin, the Balasani 600mm basin and the Empire 700 and 920 basins. By elongating the sides of your basin into a console as shown with the Empire 920 and stand, you create more space for lotions and even ornaments should the man of the house permit!
